Me encanta e-Bay. No sólo me gusta vender sino que también he podido comprar muchas cosas a precios increíbles. Estas dos han sido de mis mejores compras:
 La primera, es una chamarra de piel vintage de Donna Karan que gané en $40.00 dólares. Y la otra, son unas botas Marsèll de $800 dólares que gané por sólo $30.00 ¡envío incluído!
 ¿Qué será? ¿Suerte?  O como diría Bru, que me la paso en éso...

¿Hasta qué punto somos responsables de forjar el estilo que nuestros hijos tendrán cuando sean adultos?

Ésta es una foto de mi hija de 5 años, que por supuesto, escogió qué ropa ponerse. Me fascina ver cómo desde tan chica ya está definiendo su propio estilo .

Como se podrán dar cuenta, no soy de las que trae a sus hijos perfectamente peinados y vestidos. Nunca me ha gustado. Creo que la libertad de expresarse no se debe coartar sólo porque se piense que son demasiado pequeños para decidir por ellos mismos.

I've always thought kids should be free enough to express themselves from a very early stage.

LA CAMISA BLANCA

Esta fotografía es el ejemplo perfecto de cómo se puede transformar una prenda tan simple, como lo es una camisa blanca, sólo con la manera de arremangarse las mangas o de pararse el cuello.

JOYERÍA ¿PARA MI?

La verdad es que no soy de las que usan joyería o muchos accesorios, de hecho la mayoría de veces ni siquiera traigo mi anillo de matrimonio. Será porque me parece que todos los accesorios, brazaletes, anillos, collares, son siempre los mismos, es decir, no había encontrado nada innovador. No fue hasta hoy que dí con esta línea de joyería Danesa que me encantó. Todo esta hecho en plata, oro y diamantes. ¿Alguno de ustedes va a ir pronto a Dinamarca?

I must confess that I am not a big jewelery fan. As a matter of fact I don't even wear my wedding ring most of the time. Maybe it's because I find jewelery to be all "the same". But today I found a jewelery line I am dying to lay my hands on. It is called line&jo . Everything is made out of silver, gold and diamonds. Their showroom is in Denmark, anyone visiting soon?

FELIX, EL GATO.

Les presento a Felix, el gato. Lo acabamos de cambiar a nuestra recámara, justo a un costado de nuestra cama. El detalle del cuadro es impresionante y es una lástima que la cámara no logre captar la intensidad del color.
Desde lejos, Felix parece ser un león, pero al acercarse te das cuenta de que la imágen esta compuesta por diminutos caracteres, formas y patrones. Las letras justo detrás de la cabeza de Felix, dicen "Felix the cat".  Loco ¿no?

This is Felix, the cat. We have just placed it on one of our bedroom walls, just besides our bed.

Bru and I are in love with Kelsey Brookes'  work, and it is a shame that the camera was not able to capture the strength of its color. The painting is made out of brightly colored small characters, shapes and patterns that you can only see if you take a real close peak. Felix´s head reads " Felix the cat".

UN ESTILO, TRES ALTURAS

Estoy obsesionada con estas botas de Alexander Wang y se me hace difícil decidirme por una de las tres. Los primeros botines hasta el tobillo, salieron a la venta la temporada pasada y como siempre pasa con los zapatos de Alexander Wang, ya estan agotados. En el único lugar donde los encontré me los daban mucho más caros de su precio de venta original, así que creo que los seguiré buscando en otro lugar.

 Chequen qué lindo el tacón.

I am obsessed with these boots from Alexander Wang. It's so difficult to decide which ones to get!

The ankle booties down under came out last spring and are now completely sold out.  I was able to find a pair, but they were asking much more than their original retail price.  I will keep on looking.

Estos botines que llegan arriba del tobillo me los probé ahora que fuí a "Barney´s New York" y se ven lindísimos. En el rato que estuve allí mucha gente llegó preguntando por ellos.

Creo que va a ser difícil conseguirlos dentro de poco...

I recently tried these booties at "Barney´s New York".  I was really amazed to see all the people that came in just to try them on. It's just a matter of days for these to be completely sold out.

Para estas horas probablemente estoy en pleno vuelo de regreso a Guadalajara, ya se imaginarán la cantidad de maletas que llevamos después de poco más de cuatro meses en San Diego...

Mientras tanto, les dejo una foto tomada por "The Sartorialist", con uno de mis looks favoritos.

Me gusta muchísimo el hecho de que trae dos looks en uno, y aunque para mi gusto ya estan muy vistos los pantalones estilo "boyfriend", se le ven muy bien. La parte de arriba, muy elegante; saco, chaleco y camisa blanca abotonada hasta el cuello ( nueva tendencia ). En la parte de abajo unos jeans rotos, relajados, con cinturón café y unos tacones "tribute"de Yves Saint Laurent en color azul.

Right now, I am probably on a plane on my way back to Guadalajara, after more than 4 months in San Diego. 

Meanwhile I am posting one of my favorite looks I got from a picture of "The Sartorialist".

I specially like how she mixes two looks in one. From the waist up, she is wearing an elegant jacket and vest ensemble with a buttoned ( all the way up ) white shirt. From the waist down, she is wearing a pair of distressed "boyfriend" jeans, brown belt and blue "Tribute" Yves Saint Laurent heels. 
Perfect mix.

Pero ¿Por qué esta foto de Kate Moss?

Por que muestra exactamente la razón por la cual es una de mis tres modelos favoritas.
Creo que Kate Moss es de las pocas modelos, sino es que la única, que tiene los pantalones para dejarse fotografiar de una manera tan natural y espontánea. Que se deja mostrar como realmente es, sin tapujos ni pretenciones.

Me encanta.

But why this picture of Kate Moss?  I found that this picture shows 

 exactly what I like most about her. I think she is one of the few models,  who has the courage to present herself in front of the camera exactly as she really is. Her complete acceptance and  lack of self consciousness is, to me, what makes her one of the most famous models of all times.

 ¿Cómo justificas pagar $595 dólares por estos tenis de Golden Goose?

1.  Estan hechos a mano. 
2. Son parte de una serie limitada y cada par está numerado.
3. Tienen un cierre a un costado para no tener que abrocharte las cintas cada vez que te los pones.
4. Tienen un tacón por dentro que empuja el talón y que hace que te veas más alta o alto.
5. Están forrados por un plástico en la parte interior que hace que mantengan su forma.
6. Son muy cómodos.

 ¿Qué opinas, pagarías casi $600 por uno de estos pares de Golden Goose?

 

Why are these Golden Goose trainers worth close to $600 dollars?

1. They are hand made.
2. They are numbered and part of a limited edition.
3. There's a zipper on the side so you won't have to tie the laces every time you put them on.
4. They have an inner heel that adds about an inch making you look taller.
5. The have an inner plastic lining that supports it's shape.
6. They are really comfortable. 

So what do you think? would you be willing to spend close to $600 dollars for a pair like this?

CAJÓN No. MC 23

Me encontré estas dos Vespas estacionadas en un mismo cajón , exactamente iguales excepto por el color, una roja y una negra. Me pregunto en que se basará su dueño para escojer una u otra cada mañana.

Today, I found these two Vespas parked in a same parking spot. They are exactly the same, except for the color. I wonder what would make the owner decide which one to use each morning.

Por fin encontré los calentadores de Alexander Wang. Estan padrísimos pues te permiten seguir usando tus vestidos, faldas y shorts durante el invierno. Yo creo que vale la pena hacerles el intento.
