DRESS AND BOOTIES

One of my favorite looks. So much better than wearing stilettos.
If it's hot outside, you can always wear peep toe booties.

STELLA MCCARTNEY RESORT 2012

Creativity is what designers are turning to when presenting their collections. This time around, Stella McCartney threw a garden party in West Village where models danced around with hula-hoops, blew bubbles, played croquet and took turns trying to crack open a piñata in their Resort 2012 looks.

The looks: Sharply tailored blazers, cigarette pants, bow accented dresses, knit sweaters, bold stripes and Hawaiian prints.

LOOKING AT

I was lying down on my bed looking towards my bathroom's open door.
I thought it looked kind of cool so I had to take a picture.

A LOOK AT DIANE VON FURSTENBERG'S PENTHOUSE IN NEW YORK

“Everybody told me when I came to this neighborhood that I was crazy—that it was full of drag queens, that it smelled awful because of all the butchers,” says the Brussels-born designer, who moved to New York in 1969 with her first husband, Fiat scion Prince Egon von Furstenberg. (They had two children, and divorced in 1983; in 2001 she married media mogul Barry Diller.) “All of that is true,” she continues. “And yet in a weird way the cobblestone streets remind me of Belgium.”

“When I was young, I lived like an old woman,” the 65-year-old grandmother of three explains, “and when I got old, I had to live like a young person.”

UN TOQUE DE MALDAD / A TOUCH OF EVIL

Last friday we went to the opening of the exhibit called "Un Toque de Maldad / A Touch of Evil " at the MAZ, (Museo Arte Zapopan).  The exhibit presented works by Marcel Dzama, Jose Davila, and Antonio Ramirez.

Marcel screened his short film "A Game of Chess", with the band Pumcayó playing live, which by the way, is amazing.
You can listen to some of their songs here.

Fendi duck boots.

Our favorite: Hanging squares by Jose Dávila.

HOW TO WEAR SUMMER CLOTHES DURING WINTER

Totally love how Birgitte Raben Olrik designer of the brand Rabens Saloner, pairs summer dresses and shirts with scarfs and boots.
So sad  Denmark is so far way from Mexico, I would love to visit her atelier.
Hopefully her collection will be online soon.

UMA THURMAN FOR VOGUE ITALIA FEBRUARY 2012

Talking about women that get better with time. I can't believe that not so long ago I actually thought she was... well, ugly. What was I thinking? or better yet, drinking? ha!
Stunning.
